South Dakota and South Dakota State come up with mixed results against Big Sky opponents

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – It was a mixed bag Wednesday night for South Dakota and South Dakota State in the Big Sky-Summit Challenge, with each school going 1-1.

For South Dakota, the Coyote men took care of business at home with a red-hot offense, winning 94-80 over Idaho State. The women meanwhile struggled through their whole game against Montana State, losing 77-46 and falling to 3-6 on the year.

For the Jackrabbits, the women powered through at home with a convincing 81-58 win over Eastern Washington. The men meanwhile couldn’t close out the game on the road against Montana, dropping the game to the Griz 71-67.

The Big Sky-Summit Challenge continues Saturday. The South Dakota men hit the road to play Northern Arizona, while the women host NAU at home. For South Dakota State, the Jackrabbit men come back to Brookings to play Eastern Washington while the women go out west to play Montana.
