Missing man’s body pulled from Missouri River along Nebraska-South Dakota border
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The body of a missing South Dakota man was removed from the Missouri River on Sunday along the Nebraska border.
Officials with the National Park Service said Phillip Anthony Snoozy, 23, was found near the mouth of the James River near Yankton, South Dakota.
Snoozy was last seen May 24, swimming near the Meridian Bridge on the Nebraska side.
He was reported missing the next day.
Search parties in Nebraska and South Dakota immediately started looking around the banks of the Missouri River.
The cause of death is still under investigation by the Yankton County Sheriff’s Office in South Dakota.
