Man killed while walking along highway in Roberts Co.
ROBERTS COUNTY, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – A man walking along SD Highway 123 died after he was struck by a vehicle near Wilmot on Sunday morning.
According to the Department of Public Safety, early crash information indicates a 20-year-old man was walking in the southbound lane of SD Highway 123 at around 1:20 a.m.
The man was struck by the driver of a 2004 Chevrolet in the southbound lane.
The driver was taken into custody for DUI and other charges are pending.
The names of those involved have not been released pending family notification.
South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
