Johnson’s 3 TDs lead Montana past South Dakota 24-7
MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) — Lucas Johnson was 22-of-28 passing for 180 yards and a landing, and he added two dashing scores to steer Montana previous South Dakota 24-7 on Saturday.
Johnson had working scores of 4 and 24 yards within the first quarter to construct a 13-0 lead. His 12-yard landing move to Junior Bergen made it 22-0 with 4:37 left within the first half.
Montana’s streak of seven straight quarters with out permitting a staff to attain ended with 6:27 left within the fourth quarter. However the Grizzlies’ protection responded with a safety by Braxton Hill with lower than a minute to play.
Johnson carried it 13 instances for 75 yards and Junior Bergen caught six passes for 35 yard and a landing for Montana (2-0).
Carson Camp handed for 119 yards for South Dakota (0-2). Travis Theis carried it 20 instances for 88 yards and a landing.
