RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) – Book lovers have the chance to help fund scholarships for women through the American Association of University Women of South Dakota Sale.

Hundreds of books are on display in the Fine Arts Building at the Central States Fair.

Proceeds from the sale go to the AAUW, to finance education, research and advocacy.

Ashley Solano, the facilities and events manager of the Central States Fair Grounds, says it’s a great group doing great things.

”These books were donated from the community. Every year they do this sale around the same time in October. They put a call-out for people to make donations and volunteer. Luckily this year they got plenty and had to stop donations, and we’ve got plenty of volunteers. It’s a really cool event for the community to come together and help out with,” Solano said.

The used book sale is on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 27 from 10 a.m. to noon.
