Ohio State’s Robert Cash and JJ Tracy Win NCAA Men’s Doubles Championship
An Ohio State duo has won the NCAA men’s doubles championship for the second year.
One year after Andrew Lutschaunig and James Trotter combined to win the national title in doubles, Robert Cash and JJ Tracy accomplished the feat themselves on Saturday, defeating Florida State’s Antoine Cornut-Chauvinc and Joshua Dous-Karpenschif in the championship match of the NCAA men’s doubles bracket.

Cash and Tracy dropped the first set, 7-5, but blanked their opponents 6-0 in the second set to force a decisive third set. The Buckeye duo rode their momentum from the second set into the superbreaker, winning the final set 10-6 to claim the championship trophy.

The doubles title serves as a triumphant end to the Ohio State careers of both players, who will go down as two of the most decorated players in Ohio State men’s tennis history.

Saturday’s victory was the 148th career doubles win for Cash, who finishes his Ohio State career as the program’s all-time leader in doubles victories – a record unlikely to ever be broken as Cash played five seasons for the Buckeyes due to his freshman season in 2019-20 being shortened by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Tracy finishes his four-year Ohio State career with 235 combined singles and doubles wins, the fifth-most in program history.
