Ohio man charged after he was shot by Tuscarawas County Sheriff

TUSCARAWAS COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) – 41-year-old, Joseph A. Barnhart of Wainwright, Ohio was arraigned in a Tuscarawas County Southern District courtroom Wednesday for the incident that led to him being shot by a county deputy on July 4.

Barnhart is facing the following charges:

Count One: Having Weapons While Under Disability (Felony 3) 2923.13(A(4), 2923.13(B)

Count Two: Using Weapons While Intoxicated (Misdemeanor 1st Degree) 2923.15(A), 2923.15(B)

Count Three: Aggravated Menacing (Misdemeanor 1st Degree) 2903.21(A), 2903.21(B)

Barnhart is being held in the Tuscarawas County Jail on a bond of $100,000

A Preliminary Hearing for bindover to the grand jury is scheduled for July 16, at 10:15 a.m.
