Northeast Ohio Monday weather forecast: Showers and thunderstorms

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Warm and very muggy conditions are expected Monday in Northeast Ohio, leading to good chances of showers and thunderstorms during the morning, according to the National Weather Service. However, showers and thunderstorms could pop up throughout the afternoon and evening. The day is expected to star cloudy but it eventually become mostly sunny. Highs will reach the mid-80s and overnight lows will be in the mid-70s.

Highs are expected to reach 90 degrees on Tuesday but it will feel as hot as 98 because of the muggy conditions. There is a 70% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs will drop to the low 80s on Wednesday and there again are chances of showers and thunderstorms. By Thursday the skies will clear and it’s expected to remain mostly sunny through the weekend. Highs on Thursday and Friday will be in the upper 70s, but temps will climb to the mid-80s over the weekend.

The Cleveland area will lose 85 seconds of daylight on Monday.
