Dry weather speeds up harvest in Ohio
Dry conditions have sped up harvest in Ohio.
According to the USDA’s weekly crop progress report, 10% of corn is harvested, well ahead of the 2% five-year average, with 94% of the crop dented, 60% mature and 37% rated good to excellent.
Soybeans are 35% good to excellent with 14% of the crop harvested, ahead of the 3% five-year average.
Topsoil moisture is 5% adequate to surplus and subsoil moisture is 6% adequate to surplus.
