Chance Gray, who played high school basketball at Lakota West and Winton Woods and was the 2022 Ohio Gatorade Player of the Year, is transferring to the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Gray announced her commitment on Sunday via Twitter/X.

Gray, the Oregon Ducks’ second-leading scorer and leader in assists last season as a sophomore, announced earlier this month that she was entering the transfer portal. The Ducks finished last season with an 11-21 record.

In her first season at Oregon, Gray was a Pac-12 All-Freshman Team selection.

Chance’s older sister, Amber, starred at Lakota West and played in college at Tennessee and Xavier before playing overseas and, most recently, coaching in high school at Sycamore. At XU, Amber played one season for Kevin McGuff, who has been the head coach of the Buckeyes since 2013.

Their father Carlton, a former Forest Park High School great and NFL player, has coached at Winton Woods since 2021.
