Western North Dakota man dies after UTV strikes boat
BEULAH, N.D. — The driving force of a Can-Am Defender Utility Terrain Automobile died when his UTV struck a ship Saturday, July 2.
Based on the North Dakota Freeway Patrol:
The Can-Am was northbound in entrance of a Dodge pickup pulling a ship on Mercer County Highway 21 about 10 miles north of Beulah round 11:13 a.m. when the Can-Am started to sluggish close to the intersection with First Avenue Northwest.
The pickup started to move the Can-Am, which turned towards First Avenue and struck the boat behind the pickup.
The driving force of the Can-Am, an 88-year-old Zap man, was ejected and later pronounced useless at Sanford Hospital in Bismarck. His title shall be launched upon notification of his subsequent of kin.
The driving force of the pickup, a 51-year-old Beulah man, and his passenger, a 20-year-old Wyoming man, weren’t injured. Expenses towards the pickup driver are attainable pending the continuing investigation.
