Watford City woman seriously injured in crash near New Town

NEW TOWN, N.D. — A 34-year-old Watford Metropolis girl suffered critical accidents when the pickup truck she was driving collided with a semi truck tractor the morning of Saturday, Jan. 14, about 4 miles north of New City, the North Dakota Freeway Patrol reported.

The crash occurred about 8:36 a.m. on Freeway 1804 close to mile marker 251, the patrol reported.

In keeping with the report:

The girl was driving a 2022 Ford F-150 east on Freeway 1804. The Ford crossed into the westbound land and struck a westbound 2004 Kenworth truck tractor at an angle. The Ford got here to relaxation within the eastbound lane dealing with west. The driving force of the Ford was ejected from the automobile and suffered critical accidents. She was taken by ambulance to Trinity Well being in Minot. The report mentioned it was not identified if she was carrying a seat belt.

The 31-year-old driver of the Kenworth was not injured within the crash. He reportedly used a seatbelt. Neither driver was recognized within the preliminary report.

The climate was cloudy and frost was reported on the highway.

Along with the Freeway Patrol, different companies responding to the crash included the Three Affiliated Tribes Police Division, Mountrail County Sheriff’s Workplace, and New City Fireplace and Ambulance.
