BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) – The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) National Auxiliary president is paying Bismarck’s chapter a visit.

Brenda Bryant will be visiting all 50 states, with North Dakota being the first. She’ll be on the road until next July visiting with the presidents of VFWs around the nation about the resources they provide for veterans and ones they would like to introduce to the organization.

“The main thing that we look at is having the opportunity to talk with the members because by talking to the members we find out: what are they working on?” said Bryant. “Are they in the hospitals helping our veterans there? Are they working the programs that we have, such as the scholarship programs that we have for our youth?”

Another thing she is working on is providing resources for women veterans and equipping veteran associations with them.
