DULUTH, Minn.- The UMD men’s hockey team will look to return the favor to North Dakota this upcoming weekend.

The Fighting Hawks previously took two games against the Bulldogs back in November. UMD would play North Dakota close in both of those contests, only falling by two in each one.

Head Coach Scott Sandelin says it’s always a good game when the team’s meet up and he’s expecting that again this time around.

“They’re a good hockey team. It’s a tough building to win in. Crowd’s obviously a big factor. They’re a good team, they’ve always been good so again we’ve always had good battles with them. Some have been close across the line. But that’s what it should be,” said Sandelin.

“Energy is going to be high right off the puck drop so just focusing on us too. Obviously I said they’re a good team but focusing on what we can do and focusing on the good week of practice that we’ve had and building that into the weekend. If we can do that, we’ll hopefully be successful,” added graduate forward Luke Loheit.

Game one is scheduled for 7:07 on Friday night.
