Speech teams competing for spot at state in Minot Saturday
MINOT, N.D. (KMOT) – Dozens of colleges from throughout the area will take over Minot Central Campus Saturday for an opportunity to qualify for the state speech competitors.
The speeches could be damaged into two classes: half are public talking, whereas the opposite half is an oral presentation taken from a novel, play, tv, or a poem.
Katie Brekke stated she hopes the scholars really feel extra assured in themselves even when they don’t win.
“I’ve observed a big distinction with college students presentation expertise, appearing expertise, interpersonal communication expertise,” stated Brekke.
The speeches are 5 to eight minutes lengthy.
Competitions begin at 7 a.m. however the college’s instances are scattered all through the day.
The occasion is open to the general public.
Brekke stated those that qualify will go to state in Mandan.
