John Wheeler is Chief Meteorologist for WDAY, a place he has had since Could of 1985. Wheeler grew up within the South, in Louisiana and Alabama, and cites his household’s transfer to the Midwest as necessary to growing his fascination with climate and local weather. Wheeler lived in Wisconsin and Iowa as a youngster. He attended Iowa State College and achieved a B.S. diploma in Meteorology in 1984.
