Small plane crashes north of Grand Forks, killing pilot

GRAND FORKS — A small plane crashed northwest of Grand Forks on Tuesday, Sept. 12, killing the pilot.

The crash was in northern Grand Forks County, occurring at approximately 3:30 p.m.

WDAY, the Forum Communications Company’s Red River Valley broadcast affiliate, reported the news during its 6 p.m. newscast.

The crop-dusting plane went down southeast of Ardoch, which is approximately 25 miles northwest of Grand Forks.

The plane crashed into a cornfield. Wreckage could be seen from a distance.
