BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) – Tuesday, small companies had been invited to the Legislature to encourage lawmakers to help their causes.

It’s typical for foyer teams to ask their causes. On Tuesday, the North Dakota Chapter of the Nationwide Federation of Unbiased Enterprise inspired enterprise house owners to make their voices heard. However at the least one entrepreneur – Losson Leonard from Beulah – couldn’t make it due to the workforce scarcity.

“I couldn’t go as a result of one in every of my workers at present couldn’t make it into work, known as out. So, I needed to keep and work,” mentioned Losson Leonard, a businessman from Beulah.

Coincidentally, the workforce scarcity has been known as the first challenge of this Legislative Session by the governor and majority leaders. Leonard says ideally the Legislature would go some form of laws supporting childcare, which is without doubt one of the huge hurdles to opening companies in rural North Dakota.
