FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – The presidential primary season is already underway, and in two weeks, voters in North Dakota and Minnesota will have their say in who they think should be on the November ballot.

The North Dakota Republican Caucus will be Monday, March 4. Former President and current front runner Donald Trump will be on the ballot, along with former South Carolina governor Nikki Haley and lesser known candidates Ryan Binkley and David Stuckenberg. Polls will be open from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Those looking to vote in the North Dakota Democratic Primary will have to wait until March 30th. Incumbent President Joe Biden will be featured on their ballot. Other candidates include Rep. Dean Phillips, who represents Minnesota in the U.S. House of Representatives, author Marianne Williamson and a handful of lesser known candidates will be on the ballot.

Across the river in Minnesota, both parties will be on the presidential primary ballot on Tuesday, March 5. Polls are usually open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., but can vary depending on the area.

For the GOP, Trump and Haley are on the ballot. Former candidates such as Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, businessman Vivek Ramaswamy and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will also be featured on the ballot.

For the Democrats, President Biden, Rep. Phillips, and Williamson are notable candidates. Minnesota voters will also have the option to vote for candidates from the smaller Legal Marijuana Now Party.

All of this leads up to statewide primaries for both states in early June, where voters will get to decide other election races, and ultimately the general election on November 5th.
