FARGO — Jaiden Haile scored 29 points to lead West Fargo
Horace to a 73-59 victory against Bismarck Legacy
on Thursday in the opening round of the North Dakota Division 2A girls basketball state tournament at the Fargodome.
The top seed from the East Region, the Hawks advanced to Friday’s state semifinals. Lakyn Donnelly added 22 points for Horace.

Mimi McAllister sank two free throws in the closing seconds to lift
Mandan to a 58-57 victory
against Grand Forks Red River in the quarterfinals.
Horace plays Mandan at 1 p.m. Friday in the state semifinals.
Abby Fosland scored 18 points to help Bismarck

Century power past Fargo Shanley 59-54
in the quarterfinals. Jaya Taylor scored 21 points to lead the Deacons.
Kinley Bartsch scored 20 points to help
Minot secure a 65-59 victory
against Fargo Davies in the final game of the opening round. Quinn Skari paced the Eagles with 31 points.

Century plays Minot in the second state semifinal, scheduled to start 20 minutes after the first girls semifinal.
