BROOKINGS, S.D. — No. 1-ranked South Dakota State scored 23 unanswered points Saturday afternoon and cruised to a 33-16 victory against North Dakota State in Missouri Valley Football Conference play before 19,431 fans at Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium.

The Jackrabbits (9-0, 6-0 MVFC) have won five consecutive games against the Bison, including the past four Dakota Marker games.

“Success breeds imitators,” said SDSU offensive lineman Garret Greenfield. “You look what they were doing, obviously it worked pretty well for a long time. So to catch them and compete with them, you got to do what they do and try to do it better.”

NDSU (6-3, 3-3) has two games remaining in the regular season and potentially need to win both to earn a spot in the FCS playoffs.
