(Bismarck, ND) — North Dakota colleges are being impacted by a nationwide driver scarcity.

College bus routes are being disrupted, suspended or canceled in lots of areas of the state as the price to coach new drivers has jumped to between five-thousand and eight-thousand {dollars}.

Rural faculty districts are being particularly affected by a lack of drivers.

Some districts are shifting to smaller, 14-passenger buses to keep away from hefty coaching prices.
