North Dakota schools get $2.3 million for clean school buses
BISMARCK — North Dakota college districts in Enderlin, Glen Ullin and Mapleton acquired a complete of greater than $2.3 million as a part of the U.S. Environmental Safety Company’s Clear College Bus Program.
The federal funding, introduced Wednesday, Oct. 26, comes from the infrastructure regulation not too long ago handed by Congress.
The EPA mentioned 389 college districts throughout the nation are getting a complete of $913 million
to assist purchase 2,463 buses, 95% of which can be electrical.
This system goals to speed up the transition to zero-emissions automobiles and produce cleaner air round faculties.
In North Dakota, the Enderlin College District acquired $1,580,000 in funding to buy 4 college buses. Glen Ullin and Mapleton every had been awarded $385,000 to buy one college bus.
4 Minnesota college districts acquired funding totaling $1.6 million.
Crimson Lake was awarded $790,000 for 2 college buses. Canby and Ogilvie every got $395,000 for one college bus. Nicollet College District acquired $30,000 to go towards one bus.
