North Dakota men sentenced for sexually abusing incapacitated victim

FARGO — Reese Ironshield, 34, and Kyle Langstaff Sr., 32, each from Fort Totten, North Dakota, have been sentenced in federal courtroom for sexually abusing an incapacitated sufferer, U.S. Legal professional Mac Schneider introduced Tuesday, Dec. 13.

U.S. District Decide Peter Welte sentenced Ironshield to seven years and three months in jail and Langstaff to 4 years and 10 months in jail.

In August, Ironshield pleaded responsible to at least one rely of sexual abuse of an incapacitated sufferer and one rely of tampering with a witness and Langstaff pleaded responsible to 2 counts of sexual abuse of an incapacitated sufferer.

The offenses occurred Nov. 7, 2021, on the Spirit Lake Reservation in Fort Totten, when Ironshield and Langstaff engaged in sexual acts with a sufferer who was unresponsive and unaware, in accordance with an announcement from Schneider.

The boys ran away after they have been interrupted by three juveniles. When one juvenile requested what they have been doing, Ironshield pulled a handgun from his waistband and threatened the juvenile, telling him to by no means talk about what he had witnessed, in accordance with Schneider’s assertion.
