WATFORD CITY, N.D. (KMOT) — Medora is a popular attraction in the Peace Garden State.

In the heart of Medora lies a museum of western, native american, ranching, and rodeo heritage–the North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame.

Each year the Cowboy Hall of Fame honors cowboys, cowgirls, and even livestock for making an impact and leaving a legacy.

The museum hosts an annual meeting to kick off this process for the year.

Irene Johnson, a representative of the museum, says this year’s meeting is in Watford City on February 21st and 22nd.

She says guest speaker Gerard Baker and musician Jessie Veeder will be some of the highlighted entertainment.

Johnson added guests will also have the opportunity to witness testimonials for nominated inductees.

“We do have a live and silent auction, so the money we make there goes to keep the hall of fame open,” said Irene Johnson.
