BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) – The North Dakota Senate voted down a invoice to pressure colleges to get parental permission to take part in extracurricular actions.

All colleges don’t require such permission, however the invoice would have carried out a brand new coverage statewide.

“The hope and intent of this invoice is that it could foster extra communication between dad and mom and youngsters and to permit dad and mom to have a greater understanding and data of what their youngster is concerned in when they’re in school,” stated Senator Randy Lemm, R-Hillsboro.

Parental permission is already required to take part at school sports activities. This might have lined different actions.
