ND Petroleum Council president reacts to UN Climate Report
MINOT, N.D. (KMOT) – The Intergovernmental Panel on Local weather Change recommends fossil gas manufacturing lower by two-thirds by 2035 — that’s in accordance with a report from the Related Press.
North Dakota is the third-highest prime oil-producing state within the U.S. after Texas and New Mexico, in accordance with federal statistics.
Ron Ness, the president of the North Dakota Petroleum Council, stated the report is a scare tactic.
Ness stated it’s not economically possible, and the size wanted to achieve the purpose is past bold.
“Their claims are usually not justified. I might say round 85 p.c of the U.S. every day power wants are equipped by fossil gas,” stated Ness.
The panel will launch its 2023 full report at a later date.
