Name of pickup driver seriously injured in head-on crash near New Town released
NEW TOWN, N.D. — The identify of a Watford Metropolis girl severely injured in a collision between a pickup and truck tractor close to New City was launched Sunday, Jan. 15, by the North Dakota Freeway Patrol.
In line with the Patrol report:
Heather Blackston, 34, was driving a 2022 Ford F-150 east on Freeway 1804, about 4 miles north of New City about 8:36 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, when her truck crossed the middle line and struck a 2004 Kenworth truck tractor that was touring westbound.
The motive force of the Kenworth, 31-year-old Eric Danks of New City, was listed as unhurt within the crash.
Blackston was ejected from the car and suffered severe accidents. She was taken by ambulance to Trinity Well being in Minot, the report stated.
The climate was cloudy and frost was on the highway.
