Motorcyclist killed in head-on crash with semi in Barnes County
PILLSBURY, N.D. — A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a semi two miles southwest of Pillsbury, North Dakota, Friday, June 10.
In accordance with the North Dakota Freeway Patrol, at about 7:52 p.m., a Peterbilt Semi was touring west on North Dakota Freeway 26 from North Dakota Freeway 32. At the moment a Harley Davidson bike was touring east on U.S. Freeway 26.
A few mile west of Freeway 32, the driving force of the Harley misplaced management and the bike overturned, sliding into the westbound lane and colliding with the semi. Upon collision, driver of the Harley was ejected, and the bike turned caught beneath the semi.
The semi continued west, then entered the south ditch with the bike nonetheless beneath. The semi then turned engulfed in flames.
The motive force of the semi, 41-year-old Brady Jorissen of Roger, North Dakota was not injured. The motive force of the Harley, a 51-year-old man from Finley, North Dakota was pronounced deceased on scene.
The crash stays beneath investigation by the North Dakota Freeway Patrol.
