More Than A Dozen Fire Crews Called Out For Numerous Wildfires In Southeast North Dakota – KVRR Local News
FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — At least 14 fire crews are being called into action to deal with rapidly spreading wildfires in southeast North Dakota.
High winds and dry conditions helped fuel an outbreak of brush fires south and west of the Fargo area this afternoon.
Fires were reported near Buffalo, Horace and Walcott.
A bridge caught fire in Richland County on a county road.
Richland County Emergency Manager Brett Lambrecht says one fire hit a farmstead, the house was saved but they lost a barn.
A portion of State Highway 46 was closed near County Highway 17 due to dense smoke.
Burn bans are in place for a majority of North Dakota due to very dry conditions.
