More than 1,200 North Dakota veterans honored for their service with a free meal

BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) – North Dakota veterans have been honored Tuesday for his or her service to the nation. The occasion on the Bismarck Elks Lodge was rescheduled after the blizzard on the tenth.

So many veterans took half that mealtimes wanted to be break up into thrice. Roger Hoovestol and his brother served within the Nineteen Fifties and early 60s. He stated the meal is an annual custom.

“It makes me really feel proud. I come from a household with seven boys and 5 of us served within the army,” stated Hoovestol.

Hoovestol stated his nephew continued the custom of serving within the army. He was deployed through the Gulf Conflict.
