In honor of a donation by Marge’s Diner, The Red River Zoo has named one of their bison Marge.

And now they’re celebrating this partnership by serving up free breakfast to the first 15o visitors.

The breakfast will be served in the bison viewing building, so visitors can enjoy their meal with Marge and the rest of the herd.

Partnerships like this are an important source of funding for The Red River Zoo, especially when attendances are down during the colder months.

“The opportunities for us to earn enough revenue can really be weather dependent,” Sally Mulvena, Red River Zoo President and CEO said. “So those partnerships, our entire zoo has been built on volunteerism and the generosity of our community getting together to make things happen.”

Marge’s Diner will be back serving breakfast at the zoo again on March 24th starting at 9:30 AM.
