Man wanted in connection to fatal shooting in North Dakota arrested in Dubuque

DUBUQUE, Iowa (KCRG) – A man wanted for Conspiracy to Commit Murder out of North Dakota was arrested in Dubuque on Thursday.

An automated license plate reader found the vehicle associated with 30-year-old Steven Burrell.

Dubuque police then used several cameras to find and arrest Burrell at the Casey’s on Rockdale Road at around 10:16 p.m. on Thursday.

Valley News Live reports Burrell was wanted in connection to a shooting that happened at around noon on Wednesday at the Summers at Osgood Apartments in the 4500 block of 47th St. S. in Fargo.

Officials identified the victim of the shooting as 32-year-old Rahssan Wilson of Fargo. Wilson was taken to a local healthcare facility, where they later died.

In a press conference Friday afternoon, Fargo police say Wilson and Burrell knew each other. A motive for the shooting hasn’t been released.
