Legislative candidate arrested for Valley City assault withdraws from the race

VALLEY CITY, N.D. (KFGO) — Kaitlyn Huss, a Dem-NPL candidate for North Dakota District 24 Home of Representatives, who was charged with easy assault on Friday, October seventh has dropped out of the race.
On Saturday Huss issued a press release saying she deeply regrets the incident. She goes on to say she behaved in a way unbefitting of her place as a candidate and unbecoming of her personal private requirements, and that she was withdrawing from the race.
Whereas her identify will stay on the November eighth poll, Huss inspired individuals to decide on one of many different three candidates.
Valley Metropolis Police Chief Phil Hatcher stated Huss was arrested for assault after officers had been known as to a bar on east fundamental round 2:40 a.m. Friday. Huss made her preliminary court docket look later that day and pleaded not responsible.
Her subsequent court docket date is ready for October twenty fifth.
