Lawmakers look into $1.8 million cost overrun by North Dakota AG’s office
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota lawmakers are investigating a $1.8 million price overrun on a constructing leased by the lawyer common’s workplace beneath the late Wayne Stenehjem. Legal professional Common Drew Wrigley on Tuesday (June 28, 2022) advised the Legislature’s Funds Part that he realized in March of the issue that predates his tenure. Wrigley took workplace in February when he was appointed to fill the remaining months of Stenehjem, the longtime workplace holder who died in January from cardiac arrest. The Bismarck Tribune reviews that the Funds Part accepted of two interim legislative committees to probe the lease. Wrigley says Stenehjem and former Chief Deputy Legal professional Common Troy Seibel had been advised in January 2021 of “a really vital” price overrun. Stenehjem’s workplace paid off $1.4 million utilizing its earlier price range.
