KU football lands DT transfer from North Dakota State

LAWRENCE, Kan. (WIBW) – Kansas football has landed a highly sought after defensive tackle from the transfer portal for the 2024 season.

Javier Derritt has spent the last four years at North Dakota State. In the 2023 season, he notched 31 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks in 15 games.

The 6′2″, 280-lb DT has 50+ collegiate games on his resume, and 1,300+ snaps.

After entering his name in the portal, he got offers from Cal, USC, Minnesota, and Missouri, along with KU. He took official visits to KU, USC and Missouri before committing to the Jayhawks on Thursday.
