I-BAND donates beef to those in need due to winter storm last week

BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) – Nobody likes losing meals, and the Unbiased Beef Affiliation of North Dakota is not any totally different.

They needed to present a meal to these in want.

When the winter storm hit final Wednesday, I-BAND was compelled to cancel a meal they’d deliberate to serve to the legislature.

So as an alternative of 85 kilos of contemporary North Dakota beef and fixings going to waste, they donated it to the soup café.

“Nicely, we now have a saying about native meals, that youngsters win, colleges win, communities win, and our complete level was to get native beef into the colleges throughout the state as a lot as doable. And that’s what we needed to speak to the legislators about,” stated Deb Egeland a lobbyist.

They served it Friday with contemporary buns, grape salad and coleslaw.
