WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) introduced the Division of Well being and Human Companies (HHS) awarded the next three grants totaling $4,590,868:

  • $3,230,446 to Mayville State College for Head Begin tasks;
  • $1,071,922 to the North Dakota Division of Well being for a cooperative settlement beneath the Hospital Preparedness program; and
  • $288,500 to the College of North Dakota for the Mannequin State-Supported Space Schooling Facilities.

The funds for Mayville State College come by means of the Head Begin and Early Head Begin applications, which promote college readiness for younger kids and toddlers from low-income households by enhancing their cognitive, social, and emotional improvement in addition to early studying, well being, and household well-being.

The Hospital Preparedness Program offers management and funding by means of cooperative agreements to states, territories, and eligible metropolitan areas to enhance the capability of the well being care system to plan for and reply to large-scale emergencies and disasters.

The Mannequin State-Supported Space Well being Schooling Facilities enhance the distribution, range, and high quality of well being personnel within the well being providers supply system by encouraging the regionalization of the well being professions faculties. These facilities set up a community of community-based coaching websites to supply academic providers to college students, school and practitioners in underserved areas, and finally to enhance the supply of well being care within the service space.
