VALLEY CITY — A Jamestown woman has been arrested after the vehicle she was in drove off of Interstate 94 and rolled.
Nicole Roman, 31, was driving a 2005 Mercury Mountaineer westbound on I-94 about five miles west of Valley City just after 3 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, when the car left the road and rolled, according to a news release from the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
Roman suffered minor injuries and was taken to a Valley City hospital for treatment before she was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor driving under the influence, the release said. She faces additional citations for possessing marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia.
The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of “staff.” Often, the “staff” byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
