Customer disarmed suspect during fatal Minot bar shooting, police say

MINOT — A person has been charged with homicide after police alleged he fatally shot one other at a Minot bar early Friday morning, Dec. 30.

The Ward County State’s Lawyer’s Workplace filed the felony cost noon Friday towards Justin McDermott, 34, of Minot. If convicted, he faces life in jail with out parole.

Minot police responded round 1:40 a.m. Friday to the Lamplighter Lounge, 200 sixteenth St. SW, for a report of gunshots, based on a information launch. A person not recognized by police was shot a number of occasions and died on the scene, police mentioned.
