NEW TOWN, N.D (KMOT) – Events and conferences are key drivers of tourism–that’s according to the Glion Institute of Higher Education.

4 Bears Casino and Lodge hosts quite a few throughout the year.

General Manager, Patrick Packineau said one of their biggest draws comes from live music performances from singers and bands in genres such as country and rock.

He said their space also draws a crowd for stand-ups, rodeos, conventions and sporting events.

“Whether it be a banquet or some type of big gathering of any kind we do here, we have the staff on hand that can handle all the aspects of any event,” said Packineau.

North Dakota brings almost 22 million visitors to the state, according to North Dakota Tourism.

They said tourists spend an average of 3 billion dollars annually.
