Boy facing several charges following West Fargo ATM stabbing
WEST FARGO — A boy is facing several charges following a stabbing which took place Saturday evening in West Fargo.
According to a city news release, at approximately 5:56 p.m., officers from the West Fargo Police Department responded to a reported stabbing which took place in the 1400 block of 13th Avenue East. Officers found an individual who had been stabbed in the forearm while using an ATM outside the building.
After a short foot pursuit, a juvenile male suspect was apprehended. Because the suspect is underage, the city did not reveal any identifying information about the suspect.
The stabbing victim was tended to at the scene and received additional care at a local hospital, the news release stated.
Also responding to the incident were the West Fargo Fire Department and Sanford Ambulance.
Noting the ongoing nature of the investigation, the news release stated that no further comment would be provided, though the boy may face additional charges.
