Bottineau County man killed in crash with farm equipment

GRAND FORKS — An Antler, North Dakota, man died in a crash Tuesday morning in Bottineau County.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado driven by the 43-year-old Antler man was traveling south at a high rate of speed around 11:30 a.m. on 18th Avenue Northwest approximately four miles northeast of Maxbass. A 2015 Case Sprayer was traveling eastbound on 93rd Street Northwest.

At the uncontrolled intersection of 93rd Street and 18th Avenue, the Silverado collided with the Sprayer, striking the front left side of the sprayer wheel, according to NDHP. The driver of the Silverado was transported to Trinity Health-Hospital by ambulance, where he later died of his injuries. He was not wearing a seatbelt, according to NDHP.

The driver of the sprayer, a 43-year-old from Kenmare, North Dakota, was not injured.

Road conditions were reportedly dry and the weather was good, according to NDHP. The Bottineau County Sheriff’s Office, Maxbass Fire and Rescue and Westhope Ambulance Service also responded to the crash.

The collision remains under investigation by NDHP.
