Belcourt woman named North Dakota poet laureate

BELCOURT, North Dakota – A Belcourt, North Dakota, lady has been appointed North Dakota’s subsequent poet laureate, the North Dakota Council on the Arts has introduced.

Denise Lajimodiere, an enrolled citizen of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa, will serve a two-year time period within the place that was held by Larry Woiwode, who died within the spring of 2022.
