3 teens hospitalized following crash in rural southeastern North Dakota

LIDGERWOOD, NORTH DAKOTA—Three 13-year-old girls were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after a crash on a rural road near Lidgerwood just after midnight, Nov. 19.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 12:10 a.m. when their 2005 Pontiac Bonneville was traveling south along Richland County Road 17, a gravel road.

The car left the roadway on the right, entered a field and then struck the embankment of 94th Street SE. The car vaulted and came to rest in a field south of 94th Street SE.

None of three occupants were wearing seat belts. All three were transported to Sanford Hospital in Fargo after sustaining non-life-threatening injuries.

Charges for the driver of the vehicle are pending an investigation.
