2 killed in head-on crash in North Dakota

VELVA, N.D. — Two motorists died from accidents suffered in a head-on crash close to Velva on Sunday, Jan. 22, in McHenry County, in keeping with the North Dakota Freeway Patrol.

The crash occurred about 4:25 p.m. Sunday on U.S. Freeway 52 a few mile north of Velva, a city about 20 miles southeast of Minot.

A 2006 Mazda Tribute pushed by a 32-year-old man from Minot was southbound on the freeway when it crossed the middle line and struck a northbound 1997 Buick Le Sabre pushed by a 41-year-old man from Velva, the patrol mentioned.

Each males suffered deadly accidents and had been taken to Trinity Hospital in Minot. Their names haven’t been launched.

Neither driver was sporting a seat belt, in keeping with the patrol. Highway situations had been dry on the time and climate situations had been clear, the patrol mentioned.

The North Dakota Freeway Patrol is investigating the crash.
