April has been a tough month with wildfires in Nebraska. Dry circumstances and excessive winds have created harmful circumstances which have led to lack of life and 1000’s and acres and property being destroyed. 

Here’s a map of current wildfires throughout the month of April throughout the state of Nebraska.

East of McCook, in southwest Nebraska, volunteers and others labored by the weekend to convey the Street 702 hearth underneath management.

The Street 702 wildfire began in Kansas and shortly unfold northward throughout the state line into Nebraska. The hearth has burnt over 44,000 acres.
