Visit with Nebraska State Poet Matt Mason at Alliance library

ALLIANCE — In celebration of Nationwide Poetry month, the Alliance Public Library will host “Go to with Nebraska State Poet Matt Mason.” a Humanities Nebraska presentation for all ages on Monday, April 25.

The presentation can be held at 6:30 p.m. in the neighborhood room. This presentation is made potential by Humanities Nebraska, the Nebraska Cultural Endowment and the Alliance Public Library Basis as a part of the HN Audio system Bureau.

Matt Mason is the Nebraska State Poet and government director of the Nebraska Writers Collective. By way of the U.S. State Division, he has run workshops in Botswana, Romania, Nepal and Belarus. Mason is the recipient of a Pushcart Prize and his work could be present in The New York Occasions, on NPR’s Morning Version and in American Life in Poetry. Mason’s third ebook, “I Have a Poem the Measurement of the Moon,” was launched by Stephen F. Austin College Press in 2020. Mason is predicated out of Omaha along with his spouse, poet Sarah McKinstry-Brown and daughters Sophia and Lucia.
