Tominaga scores 30, Nebraska holds off Penn State 72-63
LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Keisei Tominaga scored a career-high 30 factors, Jamarques Lawrence scored 5 key factors down the stretch, and Nebraska defeated Penn State 72-63 on Sunday, giving Cornhuskers coach Fred Hoiberg his one hundred and fiftieth profession victory.
The win strikes Nebraska (11-13, 4-9 Massive Ten) previous final season’s win complete and matches final season’s variety of convention victories. The Cornhuskers had misplaced 4 in a row whereas chasing that elusive win.

Nebraska held the lead all through the second half. A 3-pointer by Seth Lundy received the Nittany Lions inside 57-53 with 6:20 remaining and a free throw by Kebba Njie received Penn State inside three. However Tominaga made a layup and a 3-pointer to push Nebraska’s lead again to eight contained in the five-minute mark.
The Cornhuskers scored 4 straight factors to go up 66-58 with 1:26 remaining, then Lawrence hit an enormous 3-pointer on their subsequent possession for a 69-60 lead with 45 seconds left. He later added two free throws to cap the scoring.
Tominaga made 12 of 18 pictures general and was 5-for-10 on 3-pointers. Lawrence completed with 11 factors and 9 rebounds.
Lundy led Penn State (14-9, 5-7) with 24 factors, all on a career-best eight 3-pointers in 13 makes an attempt. Jalen Pickett had 15 factors, seven rebounds and 7 assists, and Andrew Funk scored 14 factors with 4-of-8 3-point taking pictures.
Penn State hosts Wisconsin on Wednesday and Nebraska performs at Michigan, additionally on Wednesday.
