Sheriff: Structure fire reveals Nebraska marijuana grow operation

CASS COUNTY, Neb. (WOWT) – A rural Cass County, Nebraska man was arrested Thursday for allegedly working a marijuana develop operation.

The operation was found after firefighters attacked a construction hearth. The hearth was reported at or close to a house east of Freeway 75 and Younger Avenue, which is simply north of Beaver Lake.

Sheriff William Brueggemann says deputies made the invention and arrested Joshua Adams, 43, on the scene.

He was booked for manufacturing marijuana with the intent to distribute.

Fireplace crews from Murray and Plattsmouth responded to the scene together with deputies.
